<\/h2>\n<\/h2>\nHeld from 30 November to 7 December, this edition stood out for the discovery of new landscapes and the constant presence of sand and dunes that teams had to tackle daily, combined with rocky sections caused by heavy autumn rains.<\/p>\n
With more than 180 teams taking part, the Winter 2024 Edition began in Er-Rachidia, where pre-event checks also took place. This edition was remarkable for its many new features, including previously unexplored tracks and the camp at Mrimina, which marked the southernmost point reached in the event\u2019s 22 editions.<\/p>\n
The itinerary was highly demanding and technical, crossing new and challenging terrains that provided a week filled with excitement and intensity. Participants completed six stages packed with unforgettable adventures, reaffirming the spirit of the Maroc Challenge: an event that combines extreme challenges with values of perseverance and camaraderie, cementing its status as one of the leading amateur competitions.<\/p>\n
The iconic adventure began in Er-Rachidia and concluded in Merzouga, at the foothills of the majestic dunes of the Erg Chebbi. The route was full of contrasts, passing through iconic locations such as Erfoud, Zagora, Mrimina, M\u2019hamid, and Merzouga. Desert driving took centre stage, and starting in Er-Rachidia ensured that sand played a key role from the first to the final stage, achieving the goal of making the event increasingly engaging and exciting.<\/p>\n
This was undoubtedly one of the most adventurous, challenging, and desert-focused editions of the Maroc Challenge, although, as always, the challenges were carefully tailored to suit the various categories, ensuring an enriching experience for all participants.<\/p>\n
