<\/h2>\n<\/h2>\nParticipants, favoured by milder weather than in recent editions, faced a demanding course designed with extensive sandy areas and dunes.<\/p>\n
With 198 teams registered from fifteen countries, the event is increasingly international and, after 24 editions, has become a benchmark<\/strong> among amateur motorsport competitions held in Morocco. The adventure was exciting, spectacular, and relentless, combining varied tracks with wide sandy areas and dunes. Due to the lack of rainfall and the heat of recent months, the terrain was particularly challenging, with extremely soft and loose sand, requiring maximum attention, especially in dusty and fesh-fesh sections.<\/p>\n The record number of entries created an exceptional atmosphere and confirmed the feeling of having achieved the event\u2019s objectives. Of the 198 vehicles that started this Winter 2025 edition, 135 managed to finish, completing a route that proved as tough and demanding as it was technical and enjoyable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n This 24th edition was once again a remarkable experience<\/strong>. The adventure began in Er-Rachidia, where, after the administrative and technical checks, the first stage set off towards M\u2019Hamid, marking the start of a spectacular edition that continued with stage finishes in Zagora, Sidi Ali \u2014which hosted the traditional bivouac night\u2014 and Erfoud, the town from which two stages began before the competition concluded at the foot of the iconic Erg Chebbi.<\/p>\n Rui Caba\u00e7o, briefingman of the Maroc Challenge, highlighted that \u201cthe overall balance of the event is positive. We had a great turnout, both in number of participants and nationalities, a wide variety of cars, and some particularly unusual ones.\u201d<\/strong> He also pointed out that \u201cthe routes are increasingly adapted to each category and designed in greater detail, seeking variations that better match the terrain so that everyone can enjoy themselves.\u201d Finally, looking to the future, he noted: \u201cWe had promised more sand, and there was plenty, but we also realised that for future editions we need to increase dune sections for the SSVs. They need more sand and more dunes, and we are already working on solutions for the next edition.\u201d<\/p>\n
