We have completed the reconnaissance for the Spring 2026 edition, which will take place from 27 March to 4 April, and we are confident it will once again be an unforgettable edition.
A team from the organisation travelled to Morocco to review the tracks and verify the different areas through which this edition will run, presenting a route that lives up to the expectations generated.
It will be one of the most adventurous and challenging editions of the Maroc Challenge, absolutely demanding, with more sand and dunes than ever in the 24 editions already held, and with clearly defined levels of difficulty according to each category.
We concluded this long and intense reconnaissance week alongside Erg Chebbi, one of the most iconic locations in the Moroccan desert. We will cross it twice in its entirety, from north to south and vice versa, as well as longitudinally via the Camel Pass, also traversing the surrounding rivers of sand.
In addition to Erg Chebbi, the dunes of Ouzina and Erg Chegaga, we have incorporated new sand areas never before included in the history of the Maroc. Over six stages, with Erfoud as the northernmost point and Foum Zguid as the southernmost, participants will also cross imposing plains featuring fesh-fesh sections, river crossings, sandy tracks and others that are faster and more technical, always seeking the best possible routes.
The majestic landscapes must also be highlighted, allowing participants to fully experience the adventure of the Maroc Challenge.
The use of three vehicles with different characteristics — Mercedes CLK (Cars), Nissan Patrol Long Wheelbase (Adventure TT) and Nissan Patrol Short Wheelbase (Raid and SSV) — has enabled us to adapt the routes and tracks with greater precision to the specific demands of each category.
