Marrakech, the city of a thousand and one nights, and one of the most spectacular and charming places in Morocco, will be the starting point of the next Maroc Challenge, which will allow all those participants who are able to arrive before Saturday, April 13th to enjoy a small holiday in an idyllic place, enjoy the city’s charms and visit places as iconic as the Djemaa el Fna Square, the souks, gates and walls, the Koutoubia mosque, the Saadian Tombs or the tanner’s neighborhood, among other things.

The verifications will take place on Saturday, April 13th, throughout the day. The start of the Spring 2019 will be on Sunday the 14th, first thing in the morning.

The first stage will link Marrakech with Zagora, the gateway to the South. Crossing the imposing Atlas mountain range, it will pass through the Tizi n’Tichka, the highest road pass in North Africa, at 2,260 meters, following down a winding mountain road before reaching Ouarzazate.

Once past Ouarzazate, the route is practically one hundred percent track until Zagora.

Featuring many mountain roads, this first stage will not only be slow and tough, but great care will have to be taken to do it within the time limit.
