The Maroc Challenge continues to evolve, and for this reason, we are introducing four new categories for the Winter 2025.
Since its first edition in 2011, the event has grown steadily, both in the number of participants and in the experience and level of the vehicles. With the aim of continuing to offer a space where everyone can progress, we have decided to introduce four new categories that will allow our regular participants to continue evolving with us.
Our commitment to those joining this great adventure for the first time remains unchanged, as does our determination to remain the leading amateur event among those held in the desert.
We want to continue being an event open to everyone, from newcomers to the most experienced participants. This philosophy has made the Maroc a challenge suited to all levels, both mechanical and driving, while always maintaining the spirit of adventure and personal achievement.
This purpose has led us to present these four new categories, which will be available in Winter 2025, taking place from 28 November to 6 December:
- C2 RAID: For prepared, rear-wheel drive vehicles only, with over 130 hp and a minimum ground clearance of 20 cm. The route will partially share sections with the four-wheel drive vehicles.
- CX2 PRO RAID: Open to any prepared vehicle with either front- or rear-wheel drive and a minimum ground clearance of 20 cm. Vehicles must be equipped with roll cages, and helmets are mandatory for the crew. The route will partially share sections with the four-wheel drive vehicles. Maximum speed is limited to 90 km/h.
- CX4 PRO RAID: For prepared four-wheel drive vehicles with a minimum ground clearance of 20 cm. Vehicles must be equipped with roll cages, and helmets are mandatory for the crew. The route will partially share sections with the four-wheel drive vehicles. Maximum speed is limited to 90 km/h.
- PRO RAID TT: For prepared off-road vehicles with engines over 2,301 cm³, equipped with roll cages, and where helmet use is mandatory for the crew. Maximum speed is limited to 90 km/h.
These new categories represent an overall increase in the difficulty and challenge of the routes, offering a higher maximum speed (from 80 to 90 km/h) for vehicles better equipped in terms of safety, with roll cages and mandatory helmet use.
Participants registered in these new categories must meet all additional requirements during technical scrutineering.
The Maroc Challenge remains committed to its evolution, adapting to the needs of participants and continuing to grow as the leading amateur adventure event in the desert. With these new categories, we want everyone to keep enjoying the spirit of adventure, personal achievement, and camaraderie that defines our event.
And this is just the beginning: over the coming months, we will be unveiling many more new features. Winter 2025 promises to be one of the most adventurous, exciting, and diverse editions in the history of the Maroc Challenge.
Stay tuned!
