Five months from the Maroc Challenge 15th edition the prospects couldn’t be better, with the hundredth team signing up this week and it looks like we will reach the 150 team milestone. Three quarters of all registered teams (75) are in the Adventure category and thirty of those are cars, the rest of teams are in the more demanding Raid category.
Rui Cabaço, head of event organisation states he wants to “live up to participants’ faith and expectations by preparing an extraordinary, unforgettable edition both for those cutting their teeth in the desert and those with fond memories of previous editions. It will be tough, complicated, hard, but, as always, nothing that perseverance, ingenuity and companionship cannot overcome, this is the Maroc’s leitmotif.”
The Winter edition 2018, planned for the 30th November till the 8th of December follows a new route; the event will set off from the city of Midelt and will take us down to Erfoud, Zagora and Mengoub to finish on the Meditterranean coast at the touristic town of Saïdia where we will have a big party by the sea.
