Entries for Spring 2026 are now open, and we would like to share the first details of an edition in which sand and dunes will once again be the main protagonists, following the path set during Winter 2025.

The 25th edition of the Maroc Challenge, to be held from 27 March to 4 April, will start in Erfoud, where the administrative and technical scrutineering will also take place. After six stages, the event will finish at the foot of the Erg Chebbi, with sand from the first kilometre to the last.

The Spring 2026 route will be a combination of the last Winter edition, but with different stages. It will generally run through the same areas, although with variations in the stage routes, aiming once again to deliver an edition with plenty of desert and dunes.

We maintain our commitment to designing routes adapted to the different categories, expanding the sandy sections for SSV, vehicles that perform exceptionally well in the dunes. In addition to the Erg Chebbi and the dunes of Ouzina, the itinerary will once again cross the Erg Chegaga, as we did for the first time during Winter 2025.
We are working to improve an edition whose route was already highly appreciated by participants, taking care of every detail thanks to the experience gained in December.

Zagora will host the finish of the second stage, M’Hamid the end of the third, and the fourth stage will finish at the Sidi Ali camp. The traditional bivouac will once again be located next to Lake Maider, near the town of Tafraoute, halfway between M’Hamid and Erfoud.

It will be a very special edition. Firstly, because we will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Maroc Challenge, and secondly, because it will be one of the most adventurous and demanding editions ever, absolutely unforgettable, with plenty of sand and dunes.
