There is no time to rest and, just a week after the Spring Edition 2019 has ended, the Maroc Challenge is gearing up to prepare the upcoming Winter Edition, a new adventure that will be held between November 29th and December 7th.

This new edition will bring many new features that we will reveal to you bit by bit. As a teaser, we can advance that the official starting point will be in Jumilla, that the route will be linear and that the event will end in Erfoud. We will also incorporate a new, slightly less demanding, class in the Adventure category and there will also be some changes to the type of navigation in certain stages.

The next, may 6th, registrations open for the Winter Edition 2019, which recovers the emblematic and spectacular departure from Jumilla, city that, as usual, welcomes us with enthusiasm for the sixth time. We have prepared a very special route, starting out from Nador and taking us to such charismatic towns as Ifrane, Midelt, Merzouga and Zagora and ending up at the gates of the desert in Erfoud.

After the sand and dunes have dominated in the lastest editions, we have chosen a more varied route in driving terms, looking for new challenges for the whole event. The first two stages will be mountainous, possibly bringing us up against mud and snow. From there on we will enter the desert and the main feature will be the sand, which will accompany us from then onwards till the end.

The new class that we will create in the Adventure category has been incorporated as the last editions have increased in difficulty, with this new class we intend to ease things a bit for debutants who have little or no experience in 4×4 driving in Morocco, this category will allow them to follow the 4×2 itinerary, with less distance and difficulties.

Finally, this new edition has been designed for us to experience another great adventure, but as usual, may no one expect it to be easy … because it won’t be. The same philosophy that we have been developing in recent editions will be maintained, with routes adapted to the different types of vehicles. Whether you are a 4×2 or a 4×4 follower…
