The Maroc Challenge Spring 2026, taking place from March 27th to April 4th, has officially started its countdown.
This week, a team from the organisation will travel to Morocco to carry out the route reconnaissance and verify the different areas that Spring 2026 will cross, with the aim of presenting a course that meets expectations.
This will be a very special edition. First, because we will celebrate the 25th anniversary. And second, because it will be one of the most adventurous and demanding editions in the history of the Maroc Challenge: absolutely unforgettable, with a strong presence of sand and dunes.
The event introduces important new features compared to the last Spring edition. One of the most significant changes is that it will start in Erfoud, where administrative and technical scrutineering will also take place, and will finish, after six stages, in Merzouga, at the foot of Erg Chebbi.
The route will be dominated by sand and dunes, representing a real challenge. As usual, the difficulties will be adapted to each category. In addition to Erg Chebbi and the dunes of Ouzina, we will also cross Erg Chegaga, as we did for the first time during Winter 2025.
We are working to improve an edition that was already highly appreciated by participants, paying attention to every detail and applying the experience gained in December.
